The Dixie State University Varsity Pep Band is made up of musicians majoring in a variety of subjects across campus, including music.  The group is directed by Dr. Bryant Smith.

This performing ensemble is for instrumental musicians who have previous experience in high school bands or the equivalent. This ensemble teaches the fundamentals of good ensemble playing through “Pop” band music and class participation. Students perform at basketball games and other DSU functions when called upon. The goals of this ensemble are to perform outstanding music and help enhance the exciting, tradition-filled atmosphere at DSU events.
