ERICA HARDY

Erica Hardy is a registered Suzuki cello teacher with experience teaching preschool through adult-aged students. She is accomplished in group and private instruction, and she is particularly skilled with preschoolers and young children. Currently, Erica serves on the Cello Committee for the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute and is a chairperson of the Utah Valley String Festival. She will be serving as the next Cello Vice President for the Suzuki Association of Utah. Before relocating to Utah, Erica lived in New York City. She has taught at Turtle Bay Music School in Manhattan and the Suzuki Music School of Westport in Connecticut. Her students have performed in reputable venues, including Carnegie Hall. She has also written and published articles on recital preparation with Astrid Delfino Bernard. Erica completed The School for Strings’ Suzuki teacher training program, where she studied under Pam Devenport. She has also taken courses with Carey Beth Hockett, Allen Lieb, Mark Mutter, and Alice Ann O’Neill.  She holds a degree in music from Brigham Young University. Erica currently lives in Saratoga Springs, with her husband, two young boys, and house full of pets. Her older son takes guitar lessons, so she is now also a Suzuki Parent.
