Kelly McConkie Stewart attended the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College (SUNY) where she earned a master’s degree in cello performance. While living in New York Kelly did an additional year of study at the Juilliard School. Later as an active musician in the Washington D.C. area, she played with such notable groups as the Kennedy Center’s Washington National Opera, the National Philharmonic and the D.C. Philharmonic. Kelly enjoys teaching a large studio in her home and collaborating with the Gifted Music School where she teaches in the Suzuki Preparatory Division. She and her husband Brian have four beautiful red heads and consider them their greatest achievement in life.
