Calling All Cellists

The DSU Cello Festival will be held on September 17-18, 2021 in Dixie State University’s Eccles Fine Arts Center.  Dedicated to promoting the learning, enjoyment, and community-involvement in cello playing, the two-day Festival will offer a lots of wonderful opportunities for cellists of all ages and all levels. This year we are glad to have Tom Landschoot and Dr. Miranda Wilson as the Festival’s featured artist and clinicians.  The festival events include large cello ensemble sessions and guest-artist and faculty performances, chamber music, cello master classes, the ASTA Cello Lecture Series, and other workshop and performance opportunities.

Register online now! The $50 registration ($40 before July 15!) includes access to every performance, workshop and event in the festival, a free Festival T-shirt, as well as a complimentary pizza lunch. With the Ironman World Championship being the same weekend as the cello festival, affordable hotel availability will be limited.  Out-of-town festival participants are therefore encouraged to make lodging plans as soon as possible. Please contact Dr. Ka-Wai Yu the Festival Director if you need any help.  Free lodging offered by local cellists and families may be available.
