Celeste Teal Dixon is an American soprano and voice teacher active in both music and theater. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance from Dixie State University in 2016 and earned her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Music in 2018.

While there, she had the opportunity to be apart of No Gaurantees (Andie Diane and Chorus)a workshop premiered work by UNLV professor and composer, Cynthia Lee Wong. She participated in outreach productions of Don Giovanni (Donna Elvira) and Die Fledermaus (Orlofsky), performing in schools in the Las Vegas area. She has also appeared as Hippolyta in Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She participated as a soloist in several concert and recital performances including her Masters Recital titled Life and Love, selections of Berio’s Folk Songs, Rosalia in “America” (West Side Story), Maddalena in the Rigoletto quartet, and premiering works by fellow colleagues in recitals and composers forums.

Celeste appeared in the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival two seasons in a row. Performances there include Meg (Cover) and Quartet of Women’s Voices (Soprano 2) in Mark Adamo’s Little Women. As well as Mistress of the Novices and Alto soloist in a double bill production of Sour Angelica and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater. She also has had the wonderful opportunity to be a soloist at the SoCal Chamber Workshop in Claremont, California in 2017. Furthermore, she was contracted to sing in Tuacahn Center for the Arts’ production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame the summer of 2016.

Celeste also has a passion for teaching voice and has six years of experience teaching a variety of ages and abilities. Currently, she is an adjunct voice instructor at her alma mater, Dixie State University. She also maintains a private voice studio. She loves watching her student’s confidence grow as they uncover the talent they always had within themselves. 

Since returning to Southern Utah she has been seen community theater productions of Man of La Mancha (Antonia), A Christmas Carol: A Modern Musical Retelling (Mother/Ensemble), Jesus Christ Superstar (Ensemble), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Gymnasia), Something Rotten (Music Director, Ensemble). In her spare time, she likes to bring friends together and curate themed concerts around town titled the Southern Utah | Concert Series and teaches private voice and after-school classes at Broadway Bound CMT.
