Bachelor of Music in Performance

The Bachelor of Music in Performance degree is a professional degree that allows students to focus on Music performance. Students will receive comprehensive training in Music and will have many opportunities for performing in a variety of settings by focusing on one of four tracks: Voice, Strings, Winds & Percussion, and Piano. The discipline and training acquired in this degree will facilitate careers and graduate study in Music Performance, as well as in private studio teaching and many other fields.

The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Music are liberal arts programs that allow students flexibility while offering a comprehensive training in core musical areas. These programs facilitate careers and graduate study in a variety of fields both inside and outside of Music.

Bachelor of Music Education

The Bachelor of Science in Music Education degree provides students with the training needed to be successful as Music teachers. The program is specifically directed at secondary education, and fulfills the requirements for secondary teaching licensure in the state of Utah. It also prepares students for a variety of other teaching and general music-related opportunities.

Piano Pedagogy Certificate

The Piano Pedagogy Certificate is designed to help students explore, learn and apply teaching concepts that prepare them to teach piano in the private or group setting. In addition to core music courses in theory and history, students will study piano pedagogy, piano literature, private instruction and ensemble performance.
