Amanda Lee Morrill is a percussionist and educator located in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She holds degrees from the University of Utah (MMu in Percussion Performance) and from DSU (BS in Music).  Upon completing her masters, Amanda returned to DSU’s school of music as an adjunct instructor, teaching a variety of music lecture courses as well as private lessons.  As an educator, Amanda advocates for young musicians who come from smaller, lesser known programs/underdeveloped music scenes, and she seeks to create new musical opportunities tailored to these students’ needs.

While Amanda regularly performs with orchestras, choirs, chamber groups, big bands, combos, and more, she especially enjoys playing percussion and drum set for musical theater.  Amanda has a decade of experience performing in the pit orchestra for Tuacahn Amphitheater, and her playing credits there include the regional theater premieres of Disney's Tarzan (2010) and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (2011), along with the world premiere of Disney's When You Wish (2015).  Amanda’s pet projects include producing her music appreciation podcast, Up to Your Ears, as well as coordinating logistics for the annual St. George Jazz Festival, an event which brings world-class performers to Southern Utah to work with and perform for student musicians from multiple states.
